Miri Indoor Stadium
Miri Indoor
Stadium is the first indoor stadium in Miri. The features and design is modern
and unique. It has a sitting capacity of 4,000 and provides the perfect venue
for sports like basketball, badminton and table tennis competitions. Other than
sporting activities, the Miri Indoor Stadium is also suitable for concerts and
exhibitions.
Built in the
1950's the Miri Resident Office was the government administration centre with
all the government departments setting up their offices there. With the
development of Miri, all the federal government departments subsequently moved
out from the resident office into their own buildings. The district office and
divisional development department are also in the resident office providing
services to the public.
You can see a
number of Sea Horse Sculptures at Miri runabouts. It is a symbol/mascot of
Miri.
